General Discussion / Followers of Mandalore Second Life
« on: January 01, 2011, 04:11:22 PM »
<<IMPORTANT BULLETIN>>

Attention Mando'ade, today is a landmark in Followers of Mandalore history! Today the Followers of Mandalore have been brought to Second Life! This is a free online MMO that will allow our members to become one step closer to meeting in person, with voice chat, IM, and many other features, it is basically a virtual social network!

To join Second Life, go to http://secondlife.com, sign up for an account (it's free, easy, and safe), download the Second Life Viewer 2, start the game, send a message to Fett1138 asking to join Followers of Mandalore. I will try to get everyone outfitted with Mandalorian Armor.

I hope to see all of you there!

I would like to discuss the possibility of a Followers of Mandalore group on Second Life, it would be the next best thing to a personal meeting.

You have my approval, on one condition, I'm planning on starting a Followers of Mandalore group on Second Life, if you can get something in there about that to help new members get started with Second Life and join the group it would be greatly appreciated. As far as spreading it goes, I vote for the the use of the Wiki, I put a lot of work in to starting that wiki and I don't want it to suffer the same fate as the old Mandalorians Wiki. For all the Second life stuff, I'll get back to you tomorrow after I create the group, if you need any further info on it after that, please contact Al'Ori'Ramikade Nik'ika, he knows far more about it than I do.

P.S. Congratulations Al'Ori'Ramikade Meg'ika  _(|-]

Thank you, right now I'm having to listen to several people rant about smoking pot.

I'm down in Austin right now but I'm about to head home, so save some of that armor for me, I'll sign up as soon as I'm back on my desktop! I've had my eye on that game for quite some time now.  ;)

EDIT: Change of plan, I decided to stay another day, but I'm downloading it now. I'll be Fett1138. :)

Quick question: mandalorians reprogrammed?

My characters were injured in an Imperial bombing raid on Mandalore to eliminate the "defective" clones and, with amnesia of the event, and through force persuasion by Darth Vader and brainwashing were convinced that the Empire was good, that view is soon to change though.

It's similar to the way Revan was reprogrammed in KotOR.

Believe me, it does take a whole lot to brainwash a Mandalorian!

...and what happened to the recipe for Mandalorian black ale?

It started smelling like feces, so I decided it might not be edible, I'm still working on the perfect recipe for Ne'tra gal though, one that tastes good and can keep for years.

And the soup can be made with beef, ham, sausage, chicken or mushroom. It's good soup too, I had for Christmas dinner, it's a Russian recipe.

A thread about the fan film I'm working on, if anyone has any ideas please post!

Plot: In 17 BBY, Darth Vader has hired mercenaries to hunt down the last of the Jedi, some are Mandalorians. A pair of Mandalorians have been reprogrammed to fight for the Empire, but their loyalty is being questioned.

I'd be glad to include any ideas that are within reason.  :)

If I had any Apple products in my house (other than an antiquated laptop that I'm only mentioning so as not to lie) I would like to get this, but I have a Zune HD.

I would like to thank you for posting in the Gaming forum though, I was afraid there would never be a post here, and it doesn't look good for a forum to have a completely empty board.  :)

Star Wars Discussion / The Star Wars Holday Special
« on: December 25, 2010, 06:02:32 PM »
I watched the Star Wars Holiday Special Today. I have to say, not as bad as I expected, unfortunately it was actually better than Family Guy: It's A Trap.

If anyone would like to watch it, here's a link: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=323909610753051544# (but don't tell George Lucas, he's vowed to smash every copy with a hammer!). Video is complete original 1978 commercials, including one for Star Wars Toys at the end!

For the record, I did not upload this, I just found it, just saying this for legal reasons.

I've got a friend that I'm hoping will co-host with me, and I was hoping to have some *guests* on various episodes. Otherwise I had planned to format it as an old-timey type radio show, I've got some old (supposedly) open source music from the Cold War, and I want to do some kind of Followers of Mandalore segment, but I can't figure out what.

But anyway, I would love to have some GUESTS on the show!
